The post about an elementary school boy sending messages via WhatsApp to his dead mother’s contact went viral on social media. This upload was flooded with comments from thousands of netizens who sympathized with the innocent behavior of the boy named Novan.

The upload was tweeted by the Twitter account @takseiman, last Thursday (23/6). This tweet garnered 3,608 comments, was retweeted 29k times and garnered 102k likes.

“Hello, I’m the sender. His name is Novan, the one who always asks for a photo every time he visits mom,” wrote the account.

In the tweet, @takseiman included several pictures, including screenshots of WhatsApp containing messages sent by Novan to his mother’s contact.

In the message, Novan seemed to give news to his mother. The boy told him that he had gone up to the 2nd grade of elementary school.

“Mama. This is me Nova. Tomorrow I will get my report card for my brother. Looks like I’m going to grade 2,” wrote Novan.

There is also a message from Novan that he is independent. Innocently, the boy prided himself on being smart.

“I can take a shower by myself. I can eat myself. I’ve become a great child I think I’m smart. I got a score of 100,” said Novan.

The message seems to have been sent to Novan’s mother’s number which is no longer active. It can be seen that the message that was sent by Novan only got one tick. Novan also wondered why his mother didn’t reply to his messages.

The owner of the Twitter account @takseiman is Azalia Salma Hayya (16), a resident of Gunungkidul Regency, DIY.

He said that initially he only wanted to respond to one of the base accounts he followed. This was because Azalia was moved by the actions of her younger sister who had just graduated from the second grade of elementary school named Novan Ilham Fauzi (7).

“Yes, his brother (Novan). So at first I just sent it to the base, because I was honestly moved. I just finished taking a shower, suddenly I saw there was a chat with my mom, it turned out to be Novan’s doing,” he said.

According to him, this was done by Novan because his mother died last July. Novan often misses his mother.

“July 31, 2021 (mother died). Why is the chat because I miss you,” he said.

Regarding Novan’s habit of operating the WhatsApp application, Azalia admitted that she had often played with her smartphone before. In fact, Novan often sends messages to his father.

“In the past, yes, on my old cellphone, I usually sent a chat to papa when Papa was at work. That one (latest chat with his late mother) uses my cellphone,” he said.

When asked about the purpose of sharing her sister’s chat on social media, Azalia admitted that it was not because she wanted to go viral. But only to share the moment by responding to one of the Twitter base accounts.
